This vibrant eatery has quickly gained traction for its standout dishes that transcend typical steakhouse fare, elevating the dining experience to new heights. The highlight of my visit was the Bulgogi BBQ, expertly marinated beef grilled to perfection. Each bite was a harmonious explosion of savory sweetness, accompanied by an array of traditional side dishes that complemented the main course beautifully. Their Korean fried chicken also deserves special mention—crispy on the outside yet tender and juicy inside, it provides a delightful textural contrast.
As I savored the galbi, the tender short ribs marinated in a rich sauce melted in my mouth, embodying the essence of Korean cuisine. The balance of flavors, combined with the inviting atmosphere, creates a memorable dining experience. For anyone in Munich craving authentic Korean flavors, KONO Korean Steakhouse should undoubtedly be on your list for a sensational culinary adventure.

The well-curated interior design and inviting ambiance further enhance the fine dining atmosphere, making KONO a preferred destination for both seasoned Korean cuisine lovers and newcomers alike.
One of the best Korean BBQ experiences you can get in Munich. Everything was great, the meat, the sides (especially the fish), and most importantly the service. It is also nice to see how well chosen the interior design is.
It was our first experience with Korean style grill as before we only tried hot pot. We were both pleasantly surprised. The very friendly waiter explained to us all the rules of Korean grill and how it works so that we would be comfortable when eating the dishes. We decided upon a platter of various meats. What is worth mentioning is that there are already pre set grill sets from which you can choose a type of meat that you would like to eat. The set for two people already came with a variety of side dishes, which we loved as they greatly complemented the meat as well as we didn’t have to choose. The set also had soup. Very nice design, looks elegant however the atmosphere is just right, without any fuss. Short waiting time and great service. I definitely recommend. Next time when we will be in Munich we will definitely come back.
KONO is mostly known as a place for Korean-BBQ place. So each table comes equipped with an electric grill at the center, where you can barbecue the meat slices etc. that go with the BBQ menu. The portions tend to be very large and meat-heavy, which partly explains the steep prices. The food also tastes very good -- but probably more recommended to meat lovers rather than vegetarians. The place has a fancy touch. However, they played pretty loud electronic dance music all night long -- not the kind of laid-back atmosphere for relaxed dining and conversation. The waiters themselves were fairly decent. But seeing the restaurant's ambition and price level, one might ask for a more friendly and flexible welcome. We were a bit early, but were not offered a different table and snacks but somewhat rudely brushed off. Also, we were told straight away that we had to leave after 2 hours sharp -- which also felt somewhat brisk and inflexible. Again, the food is great, even considering the price level, so that makes up for it.
We had a great time and food was fantastic, meat had very good quality, the side dishes were very tasty and you could get a refill on any of them as much as you wanted. Service was also really friendly and helpful.
A great restaurant experience! We were there straight after work - the restaurant is a bit out of town, but is easily accessible by metro. There are a few parking spaces, but you shouldn't rely on them. If you arrive early, you will be rewarded with quick service and short waiting times. The staff were very attentive and helpful, especially if you're not familiar with Korean BBQ - everything was well explained. We had a full menu including dessert and were delighted with the taste and quality. The restaurant is also perfect for team events or evenings out with friends. All in all, a successful visit - we'd love to go again!
We came with our friends from the North and weren't disappointed. The food was great. We ordered the meat and grill and one portion of pork with starters and drinks. The meat was great! Sides were great too. Only thing I would wish to change is maybe have more kimchi in the sides. Other than that the service, ambiance and food was excellent! Will definitely come again :)
The restaurant itself looks very high-end. And the food was amazing. We‘re ordered the Meet and Great and there was a kimchi soup included. It was one of the best kimchi soups I‘ve had in Germany. The meat was also very tender and really delicious. The waiters and waitresses were very friendly and accommodating. I only wish they’d come more often to ask if everything was ok. A couple of side dishes were free refill but it was very hard to catch them to ask for a refill. Other than that it was a very good experience. It‘s a little bit outside of the city centre but definitely worth a visit.
Korean style BBQ in a relaxing atmosphere. Great quality of meat and fish with complimentary side dishes. Had Butchers choice which had 5 different cuts of meat, miso soup etc. service attentive and not intrusive.
